Introduction I was compelled to compile this book, Ann Arbor MY TOWM after visiting my daughter; Polly is employed with the University of Michigan Health System. The first time I came to visit her, I ask myself? Why would this Town be so far away from everything? After I read the history of Ann Arbor, I realized why it is located where it is. Relocating was the greatest decision Ann Arbor founding fathers and mothers made when they relocated to this area after leaving Detroit. Without this decision, I believe the University of Michigan would have never came into existence. If the founding forebears could come back into the future, they would be very proud of what Ann Arbor has evolved into. I think my daughter, Polly made one the best choices she made in her lifetime by choosing University of Michigan to start her Career. She seem very happy with the work environment she shares with her co-workers. Polly is a very outgoing person with a superb personality. She love all people and is eager to acquire more knowledge to help unfortunate children make a better life for themselves. After my first visit with my daughter, I fell in love with Ann Arbor's annual Art Fair. I have never seen an Art Fair where the whole Town gets involve. Ann Arbor sets the standard what an Art Fair should be like. There is so much creativity the Artist and Craftsperson put into their work it make you feel with awe by looking at their work. All art lovers should put Ann Arbor on their bucket list to come and visit at least once in their lifetime. When it comes to eating at Zingerman's different businesses, they are the best in Ann Arbor. They want their Guiding Principles to reach as many people as possible. They work together by giving a family friendly service to their guests and to the Community. These principles are at the core of everything they do: Great food, great service and customer's satisfaction. Therlee Gipson
