Overview

En este trabajo se analizaron 3 genes en Yuca (Manihot esculenta) involucrados en la ruta metabólica del etileno contra el estrés ocasionado por el ataque del artrópodo plaga Mononychellus tanajoa (ácaro verde) y un gen control reportado como gen constitutivo no implicado en respuestas de defensa. Para este análisis se utilizaron dos variedades de yuca, un genotipo susceptible (CMC-40) y otro genotipo resistente (ECU-72), y como factor de resistencia se observó la preferencia de oviposición del artrópodo sobre estas dos variedades de yuca.
