Overview

Pacientes com osteoartrite tendem a alterar os parâmetros espaciais e temporais durante a marcha para reduzir a dor. Existem características da marcha significativamente associadas à osteoartrite do joelho. A artroplastia total do joelho (ATJ) é considerada o tratamento padrão para a osteoartrite do joelho em fase terminal. No entanto, a redução da função do joelho parece ser apenas parcialmente corrigida pela cirurgia. O objetivo deste trabalho foi estudar a cinemática 3D in vivo do joelho durante a marcha em pacientes com osteoartrite do joelho e quantificar a contribuição da artroplastia total do joelho (ATJ) na restauração da cinemática normal.
