Previously, he served as the Vice Chancellor of Gomal University and as the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology at Virtual University of Pakistan in Lahore. His extensive work focuses on functional genomics and molecular genetics of both domestic and wild mammal breeds. Dr. Babar has authored numerous books and papers in this field. In recognition of his contributions to the discipline of animal breeding and genetics, he was awarded the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan. Muhammad Ashraf currently serves as a Subject Expert in Zoology at The University of Agriculture, Dera Ismael Khan, KPK. Previously, he held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Wildlife. Throughout his career, he has actively participated in various research projects related to fisheries and wildlife, serving as a Principal or Co-Principal Investigator. Dr. Ashraf has made significant academic and practical contributions to the advancement of the field of fisheries and wildlife.
