Upon graduation, Dr. Bowman was hired as the Director of the Nazarene Student Center at Oklahoma State University. He completed his doctoral studies in Counseling Psychology at Oklahoma State University, including a pre-doctoral internship at the University of Kansas Counseling and Psychological Services office.
