My name is Jose Vazquez, and I was born in Mexico on February 12, 1938. My heritage is predominantly Spanish, with a mix of Portuguese and Mayan ancestry. In 1960, I moved to the United States, settling in California. I spent most of my career at IBM in San Jose, California, retiring as an engineer/scientist in 1993. The following year, my wife and I moved to Temecula, CA. Eventually, we made our home in Anthem, AZ, enjoying six months of pleasant winter weather despite the intense summer heat.
