OverviewThis book is written in the name of all the innocent children (truly angels) mistreated by sex-traffickers; they could not express for themselves their anger, and cries for help. -- Ngo Tinh Yen Every day, countless children in Southeast Asia practice prostitution. Some do so out of poverty, others are abducted by traffickers and sold as sex slaves, others are sold to brothels by their own parents. This book is intended to raise awareness about these abused children, and encourage readers to help however they can. Ngo Tinh Yen has spent many years volunteering for non-profit organizations which fight against sex trafficking and child prostitution. In 2009, she journeyed to Southeast Asia, to visit the suffering children and learn more about the organizations which help protect and care for them. Angels In Hell chronicles her journey across Vietnam and Cambodia. She describes the places she visited, the suffering she witnessed, and recounts stories from former sex slaves. She also reflects on the heroic anti-trafficking efforts made by non-profit organizations, and on the extraordinary courage former victims show as they fight to overcome their traumas, live normal lives, and help prevent others from suffering as they suffered: Please save the victims of human trafficking at any time you can help. If you do not help, we, the victims, will die at the hands of criminal trafficking. I say so because I had set foot on the dead from Cambodia. I stand before you now. I grew up amidst the violence, hatred and pain. I still fight because I will add strength to come to those who are abused, as I was. -- Sina Vann Nguyen Thi Bich Full Product DetailsAuthor: Ngo Tinh Yen , Jon R GilbertPublisher: Createspace Imprint: Createspace Dimensions: Width: 15.20cm , Height: 1.60cm , Length: 22.90cm Weight: 0.404kg ISBN: 9781500931339ISBN 10: 1500931330 Pages: 300 Publication Date: 12 September 2014 Audience: General/trade , General Format: Paperback Publisher's Status: Active Availability: Available To Order We have confirmation that this item is in stock with the supplier.
