He graduated after four years of education at Houston Baptist University (now Houston Christian University) and then undertook postgraduate studies at Bob Jones University. After marrying, he and his wife attended school at Gulf Coast Bible College (now Mid-America Christian University) where the author pursued the study of New Testament Greek.
