(Anesthesiology) Author InformationDr James A. DiNardo is Clinical Director of Cardiac Anesthesia at Boston Children's Hospital and is also Director of the Harvard Fellowship Program. A practicing cardiac anesthesiologist for 20 years, he has written 75 peer-reviewed publications and text-book chapters on the subject of cardiac anesthesia. He is on the Board of Directors of the National Board of Echocardiography and Chairman of the Perioperative TEE Exam Writing Committee. He is also Senior Examiner for the American Board of Anesthesiology. A reviewer for several anesthesia and cardiology journals, Dr DiNardo is on the editorial Board of the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia and is an actice member of the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesia and Treasurer of the Congenital Cardiac Anesthesia Society. David A. Zvara, MD is Jay. J. Jacoby Professor and Chair, the Ohio State University Department of Anesthesiology. A specialist in cardiothoracic anesthesia and perioperative transesophageal echocardiography, Dr. Zvara is author of more than 70 journal articles, abstracts and book chapters and has delivered more than 80 invited lectures in the fields of anesthesiology and graduate medical education. He is an associate examiner for the American Board of Anesthesiology and a reviewer for the journals Anesthesiology, Annals of Thoracic Surgery and Anesthesia and Analgesia. Dr Zvara is board-certified in both anesthesiology and echocardiography, and is listed in the 2005-2006 edition of Best Doctors in America. He is also a fellow of the American Heart Association.
