Overview

One family's true and personal journey into the world of autism as told by the father of, and artistically depicted by the older brother of Kelsey, a now young woman on the autism spectrum. This book displays the positive impact understanding autism can have on a family as they get a chance to see the world through the eyes of a child who 'thinks' differently.

Author Information

David Holliday has been a public educator for 28 years. He has an undergraduate degree from Illinois Wesleyan University in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree from Illinois State University in Mathematics Education. Along with support from first cousin and author Liane Holliday-Willey (Pretending to Be Normal), David's experience with his autistic daughter Kelsey has helped him see the 'invisible' differences in all children, not just those on the spectrum. This book celebrates the author's epiphany regarding how all children perceive and process the information the world provides differentially. Most preciously, the book shares the journey David's young family took as it began to see one of their own has autism.
