Overview

It is 1726 when a group walks to Lillian Anderson's house in Clannbrae, Scotland, accuses her of being a witch, hangs her without the king's permission, and leaves without any idea that someone has been left in Lillian's house, and only the church minister and his wife know. Hundreds of years later, Karen Anderson decides she needs a fresh start and moves from Canada to join her grandmother and mother who are living in her family's ancestral home in Clannbrae, Scotland. Although Karen cannot imagine that anything grim has ever happened in the small village, she soon learns from a fellow descendant that there is an underlying darkness surrounding Clannbrae. After an angel card reading prompts Karen to embark on an unexpected journey to uncover the mysteries of her family's past, strange objects begin appearing that make some of the descendants fearful of what's to follow and soon lead her to discover that a dark secret has been harbored for generations.
