Most of my poems are from the worst times in my life, when things seemed too much and I had nowhere else to turn except for a writing pad, unless I wanted to loose my mind and myself. This book shows my life and my deepest struggles, but also my attraction to the macabre that I've had since middle school, and my gratitude to my pets.

I'm an author who's been passionate about creative writing since I learned how to write. Fiction and poetry are things that burn as brightly as a star within me. I've had several year-long writing projects with friends who help to inspire and ignite my passion further. My furry friends find their way into my works on occasion like my princess of a black cat, my cuddle bunny, and her brother who thinks he's a parrot, as he enjoys hopping up in my shoulder to perch contently.
