Analysis of Mobile Wimax Handover in Homogenous Wireless Network


Overview

This book proposed a mechanism for supporting fast handover in mobile WiMAX networks. This goal is achieved by changing the process in standard handover algorithm. The implementation of proposed scheme has been done on QualNET5.0 networks simulator software. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme of handover can achieve less handover delay and proved better QoS then the standard algorithm used in mobile WiMAX. The proposed mechanism is fully compatible with the IEEE 802.16e standard.
