Since 2023, he has been the coordinator of the ""CliMath"" working group of the Italian Mathematical Union (UMI), titled ""Mathematical Modeling for the Study of Climate, Climate Change, and Its Impacts”. In 2024, he was elected as a member of the Scientific Committee of the UMI and appointed coordinator of the UMI Prizes Committee for the 2024–2027 term.
