OverviewThe need to solve urban mobility problems arising from uncontrolled and often unplanned population growth has led to the creation of numerous measures to increase the quality and performance of urban public transport services. One of these is the implementation of exclusive bus lanes, particularly the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system, which is becoming increasingly popular due to success stories in populous cities, where it has proved to be an attractive and effective option.
