Overview

"Stifled for two decades by an unloving husband, after his drowning death in 1980, Judy Welden helped her new husband set up his Chiropractic office, began writing songs (eventually wrote 400 +), started two publishing companies and two record labels. She later recorded over 100 of her original songs and also performed in her own area, being too busy to travel; except for an overseas tour in 1998, first performing at the Zevenbergen Festival in the Netherlands. Winning many awards for her songs, her work ethic when promoting others, plus sheer determination gave Judy the credibility to succeed. Judy Welden was called ""Wonder Woman of the 90's"", by promoter Gene Bear, because she single-handedly released19 compilation CDs in 3 genres to radio stations worldwide from '94 to '99. Promoting over 100 singer/songwriters, she included one of her songs on each CD. From 1992 to 2018, she recorded 9 albums of her own music, with two dozen of her songs reaching #1 on Independent charts. In 2015 Judy was dubbed ""Diamond of the Decade"" by PRN FM, because of her continued success with her music and the fact that she patented a unique bandana hat without an Attorney. An unstoppable survivor, Judy Welden's life and career has much substance and variety, making her title more appropriate than ""My Life in Songs"", that she once planned to use. Her Memoir tells of her earlier life and the struggles she endured in an interesting, often humorous manner. Reading Judy Welden's story will uplift the reader, motivating them to never give up on their dreams!"

Reviews

Judy Welden's starkly honest memoir will grip your emotions as she relates a story of struggle, challenges, and ultimate success. Travel with her as she recalls a full spectrum of childhood emotions, youthful romance, motherhood and stardom as an internationally recognized songwriter and performer. You will feel like you really know Judy as you turn the pages of her memoir. - Charlene DeWitt, Author, former VP-Northeast Georgia Writers Founder/Leader of Tall Tales Family Farm Writers and Founder/Leader of GNC Writers Judy Welden's life story is both interesting and inspiring. A gifted and prolific songwriter as well as a talented singer, she has won many awards, but the recognition didn't come easy. Many will relate to her struggles to overcome difficulties while forging forward with a career. The book is also entertaining and, yes, at times, funny. This remarkable woman has the uncanny ability to tell a brutally honest story which leaves the reader feeling motivated and uplifted. - Laurie Hyatt, Ph.D., author of: Think Your Way to Happiness & Silent Decision

Author Information

"Judy Welden wears many hats: She's a singer/songwriter who has written, solely or with others, over 400 songs (recording over 100 of them); a Publisher who owned 2 record labels; an Inventor, who patented a unique bandana hat, and has now published her Memoir, titled ""An Unstoppable Survivor"". Most all her recorded songs are on youtube and a good place to start if you'd like to hear her music is checking out the 13 songs on the cover of her Memoir, which are some of her best, especially ""Come on Home"", which was on Indie charts with major singers, when she toured Europe in 1998. ""You Are There For Me"", written from sadness, when later released in 2006-2007, stayed at #1 on the online Roots Gospel Chart for nearly five months. ""Your Handprint on my Heart"", mastered by 3-time Grammy winning producer, Phil York, was to be nominated by him for a Grammy in 2012, however he passed on before he had a chance to send to the Grammy team. It is Judy's wish that those who read her Memoir (and hear her music) are inspired to follow their dreams and prays they find success, even if through adversity, as she did. Another song of hers to check out: ""When I'm Chasing A Dream"". http: //www.judywelden.com"
