Michael Rosen, former Children's Laureate, is renowned for his work as a poet, performer, broadcaster and scriptwriter and for his commentary on the politics of education. He is Professor of Children's Literature at Goldsmiths, University of London. Michael presents Radio 4's Word of Mouth. His short novel Uncle Gobb and the Dread Shed was shortlisted for the Little Rebels Award. Michael is one of the most significant figures in contemporary children's poetry. In drawing closely on his own childhood experiences he continues to introduce new generations of children to the delights of poetry.
