While there, she is introduced to Christ through a presentation of the gospel, and she receives him as her Saviour. After two separate tragedies, Elizabeth is faced with more heartache when the community leaders decide to split up her remaining siblings. An open gate leads to escape where she is met with new challenges and a new life but is the family's only option.

Author Information

Elizabeth Janzen is a survivor and has learned to thrive in life through the grace of God. In this first book of a series, she shares her life story as a Mennonite, an immigrant, and a follower of Jesus. Elizabeth lives with her husband, David, in Morden, Manitoba Canada. Together they have five adult children and one grandchild.
