Camille Thornwell loves to bake. She has always dreamed of owning a small but bustling bakery somewhere. Yet, as the daughter of the prestigious Thornwell Coven, known for their renowned witch academy, that was deemed a waste of her bloodline by her parents. After learning about her arranged betrothal to a loathsome witch, she makes the bold choice to flee for her freedom to pursue the bakery she always dreamed about. She has no idea what awaits in the town of Mt. Shasta, California, named after that looming mountain. Reyes Navarro is a Siskiyou County health inspector and while comfortable, he is pretty sure he is destined to be single forever. When he does the health inspection for the new bakery in town, he does not expect to see that beautiful stranger he met on a hike a few weeks back, nor the bobcat they rescued. And he is pretty sure he has blown his chance with her twice now. However, as he finds himself volunteering for the office bakery run often just to see her, she finds herself looking forward to their frequent but brief interactions.
