OverviewBased on an examination of a work of natural philosophy , this short book reviews Unger and Smolin's core theses and their implications for cosmology and physics. It also notes certain questions concerning the nature of reality that Unger and Smolin must leave aside. The author notes that at least one approach to answering those questions without taking anything of substance away from the natural philosophy is theological. This approach suggests itself because certain implications of theology reinforce Unger and Smolin's assertions concerning time and history while explaining that which the philosopher and physicist must put aside as inexplicable.
