Author Information

Carol Smallwood (M.A., History, Eastern Michigan University; M.L.S., Western Michigan University) is a librarian in the Pellston, MI public schools. She has been a library consultant, a public libraries administrator, and a community college and university librarian and has taught history and English at secondary and adult levels. She has published software and eight books, including A Guide to Selected Federal Agency Programs and Publications for Librarians and Teachers (Libraries Unlimited); contributes to numerous magazines and newspapers; and writes a column for The Detroit News.
