Overview

Phillip Hamilton is a journeyman fighter pilot in the Royal Air Force as the war shifts into high gear in 1940. Assuming command of 228 squadron, he fights through France and into the Battle of Britain. The devastating losses of his pilots result in an incident that finds him hospitalized with concerns about his ability to continue flying.
