Prices received by canners given in column 6 of table 1 are plotted against the shipments of canned peaches given in column 4 of table 1. The average net relationship between these two factors (meaning the relationship which would be expected after relationships with other factors have been taken into account) is indicated by the Curve in this chart. Comparisons of the actual f.o.b. Prices of canned clingstone peaches with the prices estimated from this curve are made in table 2. The portion of the variation in the actual prices which has not been accounted for by the relationship expressed in figure 1 is given in column 4 of table 2.
