Overview

The time in Europe after the fall of the Roman Empire is a period of barbaric custom, coupled with an ever so slow progression toward a more gentile existence through the tenets of feudalism, and hand in hand with the teaching of the Catholic Church. There exists a dichotomy between the behaviors expected of a warrior and those guidelines of Christianity. A Queen is dragged from the rear of a horse and then tortured, another is placed under arrest, and yet a third reigning Queen is seduced away from her King and married to the other King who seduced her. Nephews who are in line to the throne are murdered, and brothers are killed all in the name of who should rule. Pope's political choose sides in aiding some men to their throne. If you were not powerful enough to rule then, you were murdered or tonsured. Militarily it is a time that has still learned to take the classical elements from ancient Greece and Roman to combine them in such a manner as to astound the Moor invasion of Europe and defeat them in battle after battle. One man and his son and grandson rise above all others to keep Europe safe from the invasion of the Moslem Moor thereby aiding in the progression of Christianity and setting the stage for the modern schism of the world between Christians and radical Muslims.
