In an alternative universe named Clastonia, magic has a mysterious but explainable origin. 820 years after it was discovered it has evolved too far into magic both incredibly helpful and destructive and two powerful sorceresses fight for good and evil as a result. Queen Phobix, a literal monster with a star shaped head and sadistic dictator wishes to rule the world with her dark magic and army of evil monsters. Unfortunately, one other powerful sorceress is out to spoil plans. A nerdy elf by the name of Amy Woolruffe, forced to become a heroine when the city she works as a librarian in is attacked by Phobix's dark magic. (No, the books she checks out aren't magic.) She sets out to rid the world of evil. And maybe date a handsome muscular, ignorant but charming orc when she's done.....
