Overview

Inside a rusting German U-Boat are millions in gold bars, stolen art, and a big secret. The KGB, the CIA, Nazi SS hitmen, even the Israeli Mossad - everyone wants to find it and what's inside, but only former US Airman Mike Randall knows the truth in this spy versus spy thriller. After his B-17 crashes in East Prussia in the winter of 1945, Randall finds himself in a Nazi forced labor battalion in Konigsberg on the frozen Baltic coast. Also in the old port is Kapitan Eric Bruckner, one of Germany's last surviving U-Boats, and SS Major Heinz Kruger, Martin Bormann's sinister hatchet man. Unaware that the U-Boat has been tapped for a top-secret mission, Randall manages to stow away. After a British bomber sends the U-boat to the bottom, he is the lone survivor and the only one who knows what is really inside. Seven years later, when Randall finally speaks up, he puts a target on his own forehead, one that the Russians, the West Germans, the U-boat's former Nazi owners, the US government, and even the Israeli Mossad quickly take aim at. Some want the gold, some want Randall dead, and some want proof that there is a high-ranking spy inside NATO itself. What Mike Randall wants is much simpler. Caught between Nazi spies, the CIA, the Mossad, and a new, deadly, 4th Reich, all he wants is to pay an old debt with a steel-jacketed bullet. Looking for a good beach book or something to curl up with in front of the fire, this fast-moving conspiracy thriller is from the author of Burke's War, Burke's Gamble, Burke's Revenge, Burke's Samovar, Burke's Mandarin and Burke's Rescue, The Undertaker, Amongst My Enemies, Thursday at Noon, Winner Lose All, and Aim True, My Brothers, as well as the Our Vietnam War series, Volumes 1-4, with interviews and photos from 240 American and allied Veterans. Together, these books have over 1,00 Kindle 5-Star Reviews. Enjoy!

"4.4 Stars on 765 Reader Reviews! 5-Stars! from David E. Hachey, Amazon Reviewer: A really captivating book. Very difficult to put down. Read the last 25% in one sitting that took me about 3 hours but it was worth it."" 5-Stars! from G. Patterson, Amazon Reviewer: ""A Well-written Thriller With Many Surprising Sub-plots! A very well written Cold War thriller that has lots of actions and sub-plots that keep you guessing and on the edge of your chair until the very end. Very good indeed."" 5-Stars! from Alicia Stanswell, Amazon Reviewer: ""Great Read! This book captured and held my attention. Well written, great characters and interesting plot. I look forward to reading more by this author. 5-Stars! from WACY, Amazon Reviewer: ""Great read! Never a boring, wordy chapter to be found. the writer filled the pages with a ""story"" instead of pages full of words collected for the volume."" 5-Stars! from ONeil DeNoux ""O'Neil De Noux, Amazon Reviewer: ""Subs and Spies Galore! Now this was a different book that came together well. Starting in World War II the beginning was so well written, I worried the writer would stumble with the Cold War part but he sure did not. I found the entire escapade truly engaging. Highly recommended."" 5-Stars! from Sarah, Amazon Reviewer: "" Super well thought out book! Taking me awhile to read because I don't have a lot of time, but I'm so happy every time I sit down to read! What twists and turns!"" 5-Stars! from Cecil Sager, Amazon Reviewer: ""A Very Good Book! I really enjoyed reading it. This was a very accurate book to read. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to read more about the end of World War II."""
