Overview

U.S. President Rufus Barker barely finishes his oath of office on the steps of the Capital, sworn in as the new Commander in Chief of the United States, when two shots ring out. The bullets, meant for the new president, miss him by inches, killing the First Lady and the Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. As the FBI, CIA and the Mossad rush to uncover the plot behind the assassination and bring the attackers to justice, international agents reveal a secret that could jeopardize American national security. The assassins, however, will stop short of nothing until the president is dead. When Air Force One is targeted and crash lands, the investigation takes twists and turns as agents rush to find clues. The investigation leads first to Islamic terror groups, then to the Russians until agents discover the shocking true identity of the assassin.
