She is the author of several bestselling fiction series and Christmas novels, all set in the Amish world. Well-known within the Amish community as a columnist for a weekly Amish newspaper, she lives near Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Laura Anne Lapp is the author of Amish Butters, Salsas & Spreads, Amish Canning & Preserving, and An Amish Garden. A member of the Amish church, she lives with her husband and three young sons in a tucked-away valley in central Pennsylvania. Before her marriage, she was a teacher in an Amish school for eight years. Emily Stoltzfus loved growing up in the Amish community and enjoyed a childhood filled with imagination, green fields, animals, and wilderness. As a teen, she worked in farmer's markets and as a teacher in the one-room schoolhouse. Although she and her husband and two children are no longer part of the Amish church, she still treasures the values she was taught.
