Author Information

Professor Stefaan Missinne received his PhD from the Economic University of Vienna, Austria in 1990. He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. He speaks Dutch, French, English, German, Spanish and Italian. As an author, he lives near Vienna and is an active member of numerous international scientific societies. Missinne has lectured in many countries around the world, including Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Porto Alegre, Brazil; Arezzo, Florence, Greve in Chianti and at the US Notre Dame University in Rome, Italy; at the Archive of the Indies in Seville, Spain; at the Austrian Military Academy and the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Vienna, Austria among many others. Missinne has given numerous radio interviews across European stations including VRT (Belgium), Campus FM (Malta), national Spanish RTVE. He has also appeared on TV channels such as ZDF and BR (Germany), ACTUA TV (Belgium), LT1 and ORF (Austria), and CANALE 5, RAI 1 and RAI 3 (Italy).
