<p>Cigler and Loomis is one of the best of its kind. It is not 'dumbed down, ' as are other anthologies. Also, its organization into broad topic headings gives teachers more flexibility in assigning readings...I also like the fact that this book has historical background material and a good mix of scholarly and popular material.
