June M Harrington earned a Diploma in Nursing from St Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boston College and a Master's Degree in Psychiatric Nursing from New York University. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau. She was employed for over two decades by the Department of Veterans Affairs and served as Chief Nurse in Wyoming and Illinois. Upon retiring she received a commendation for her commitment to excellence resulting in the advancement of professional nursing practice. A world traveler, the author resides in southeastern Massachusetts.
