She received her BFA in graphic design from the Savannah College of Art & Design. She has a successful career in multiple disciplines in design, from digital media to TV and broadcast design. Irene's travels through Europe and Asia have provided artistic and cultural references for her work. It was the birth of her son that prompted her to rekindle the love she has with books, storytelling, publishing and art for children. He inspired her creative style, which she describes as ""very playful, colorful, whimsical, and lively"", with motifs and color palettes that are vibrant and happy, and can bring a smile or even a laugh to people's faces. Irene is the illustrator for the ongoing ""Baby Loves Science"" board book series. Her art are also licensed by various brands as children wall art, home decor, puzzles, games and greeting cards.
