I wrote this book for you. If you know nothing, a little, or too much about prison this book is for you. Not every prisoner has a criminal heart. Having been there, done that; nobody would have ever made me believe I'd meet prison employees more devious, cut-throat and hypocritical, than most of the prisoners I'd encountered as a prisoner myself! This book is based upon a true story inside of NY state prisons. It takes you on a journey upon which few human beings have ever gone; or will ever go! What makes this book all the more gripping, breath-taking is that, it's true. I'm telling you the truth; and nothing but the truth! I will take you where the writer of NEW JACK was probably unable to take you. Being a Correctional Officer is different than being a PRISONER in every sense of the word! The New York State Department of Correctional Services is arguably the most involved, most in depth Prison System in America and possibly across the globe. By the time I left NYSDOCS on parole in 1982, and went back into the same NYSDOCS, employed as a Chaplain in 1996, it had increased by another forty prisons or more. What one manages to learn about life while graduating from one of the world's most famous universities, has a lot to do with whether or not he lives through it!
