Altruism Reciprocity Not Needed

Overview

Altruism ""Reciprocity Not Needed"", it an attempt to provide humanity with a collection of poems that motivate them to consider showing love to others and God without expecting anything in return. Love in itself is a multifaceted concept. Many only want to show it, if they can feel it back. Which is a very normal and healthy expectation. But, what about those moments when you will receive nothing in return for being kind? What if God doesn't answer your prayer, will you still love Him? Or, what if the love of your life forgets how to show you love due to an illness or trauma, will you still choose to love?

Author Information

Born with Osteogensis Imperfecta, learning to walk over and over. Discovering how to love herself and love others has been a journey for Michelle J. Jones. Michelle always knew she was different and she spent most of her early adolescence observing the interactions of others from the sidelines. Not until she turned 13, did she gain the ability to fully join in with humanity as a participant. In high school, Michelle began to understand she found a sincere desire to be understood and used writing as her medium for creativity. As an adult, she still holds that same desire to write poetry, short stories, and soapbox speeches that depict raw emotion and provide encouragement to others.
