Songbook with 30 Old Irish Jigs - simply notated for Alto Recorder in F. The jig is both a lively folk dance from across the British Isles and the underlying melody. It was widespread in England in the 16th century, only later becoming a typical Irish dance. In Irish folk music, the jig remains the second most popular tune type after the reel. The melodies are written in standard music notation, fingering diagrams for the Alto Recorder make playing easier.
