Author Information

Smallest Scholars (www.smallestscholars.com) is an online resource and independent publisher that provides materials and information for those raising (and supporting) multilingual children. Our focus is on creating materials that encourage toddlers and children to expand their linguistic abilities in a fun and artistic way. Our products are primarily coloring books, preschool activity books, and kindergarten workbooks. Smallest Scholars focuses largely (though not exclusively) on Slavic languages, with the goal of supplying quality, educational material for children looking to learn or improve their knowledge of a Central or Eastern European language. She is a Ukrainian artist and illustrator based in France. Aside from her art activities, she has 10 years of experience as a teacher of art and design working with kids as well as adults. Maria was also involved in projects on sustainable development related to handicrafts and preservation of material heritage, which allowed her to travel around the world. She draws inspiration from her travels and the cultures of the various countries she has visited.
