We loved this book. It's such a great way to practice and get ready for writing. The illustrations are gorgeous too! Sarah - US Clear and informational instructions for parents. Kids will not feel like they're doing work and will instead feel like they're playing games while they improve their fine motor skills. This is a great asset to add to help with developing young writers. Each chapter introduction explains the purpose of the chapter, along with tips to help the work go better. The entire first chapter is a skill and confidence builder, which means that there are also physical changes in a child's growing brain that benefit from the repetitions and practice. Wonderful! The second section provides training and helpful repetition for learning the alphabet. Pictures are included for kids to practice their newly learned letters. It's a nice package of activities. The short, third and final section gives kids a chance to practice what they have learned using simple objects from which words can be made. The entire book reveals an author who understands how children learn, and his techniques provides the basics of learning to write and read, old school and new.
