OverviewAlpha Beta Cookie is our newest children's book in the form of a fun, STEM-oriented alphabet book. Each page features a word starting with different letters of the alphabet on the left page and the definition and use of the word on the right page. Words range from ""FIRST"" and ""nuts and bolts"" to influential women who made a STEM impact like Marie Curie, who was one of the first people to research radioactivity, and Ada Lovelace, a gifted mathematician who was thought to have written instructions for the first computer program in the mid-1800s. With this alphabet book, we hope to reach kids and interest them in all the cool and exciting aspects of STEM.Alpha Beta Cookie was written and illustrated by the Space Cookies, an all-girls high school robotics team and Girl Scout troop that competes in the FIRST Robotics Competition. We were founded in 2006 as a partnership between NASA and the Girl Scouts to inspire and prepare the next generation of technology leaders. With this book, we hope to show how wonderful Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) can be.
