OverviewEclectic; English monk; American physician; Almost a millennium apart. Two protagonists beginning at their birth, traveling through time to their adulthood. Not in the same location and definitely not in the same time period. Brief sketches of portions of history during the medieval period, happening mostly in England, beginning at the time the Normans invaded. Includes romance, rape, and murder as well as substantive issues during modern and medieval times, and interspersed with religion. The characters are lifelike, not clones, not robots, but are actually portrayed as real, down-to-the-earth people. The author believes that the reader will enjoy this book if not, then, this author has failed.
