OverviewHigh school theater teacher Bea Suré discovers on the first day of term that the summer Hinge date she almost hooked up with and never called back is her new and unneccesarily attractive colleague, Hedi Dictine. Oops. Bea jumps into the new semester and pretends like it's not about to be the most awkward thing she's ever almost done. Thankfully, that whole ""underpaid and overworked public school educator"" thing is extremely distracting. Her students decide, halfway through the semester, that they want to write and direct their own musical. They decide to adapt an old French Lai (Yonec) into a fairy romantasy-adjacent situation and, quite frankly, Bea can't put it down. As the story unfolds, Bea struggles to balance a dozen prima donnas, needy school administrators, a fake prank fundraiser gone wrong, and a ballooning crush on the trans man she's already turned down once. Sigh. All's Fair is an oops-to-lovers teacher romance that is as obsessed with Halloween as its author is. It centers queer, trans, and disabled characters and is a timely ""woo-woo all you need is love"" offering to our current political hellscape.
