That feeling when you read Meg Nagle's book and every word is exactly what you've been thinking all this time (but didn't have the guts to put it into a book). Your experience shows through. Barbara Glare, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) As a paediatric dentist, who has worked with nursing, as well as bottle feeding mothers for over 40 years and extensively since the introduction of lasers in the later 1990's, many of the comments in your book are unfortunately things I hear daily from frustrated mothers, as well as fathers. I think Meg quite nicely and to the point, addressed almost every comment (MYTH-STAKES) these parents hear and unfortunately have to deal with. You have developed an easily readable book which every parent of a newborn should read. Dr. Larry Kotlow, D.D.S., P.C. I cried while reading this book, as so much of it resonated with me and my experience. It felt like finally someone was listening to me and explaining what was happening with the feeding and why it seemed so challenging, after so long of having professionals simply say that things would get better with time. I appreciated the mix of research and personal anecdotes presented from various lenses - it was so helpful to hear the perspectives of both professionals and moms. Emerald, breastfeeding mother Meg's book took the mystery out of tongue ties for me. Her experience and research make it clear she knows what she's writing about, and she does it in a clear and understandable way. Bick, Dad to a breastfeeding baby I was fortunate to come across Meg's book early in our tongue tie journey. It is very easy to read (especially important for a sleep deprived parent!) and covers a wide range of topics relating to tongue ties, as well as some great practical tips to utilise pre and post intervention. Highly recommend! Gayle, breastfeeding mother This is a book that once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down. I read a few books on tongue ties before but this is the one that gives great information for mums and their babies, who suffer as a result of tongue tie problems. It also offered tips and tricks on how to improve breast feeding and where to look for help and is backed up with a lot of scientific references. What I liked about this book is that it doesn't push opinions on mums/parents. It advises them to give themselves permission to feel whatever it is they feel, so they can take the next best step that works for them. Highly recommend this book. Dr. Wei Shen, B.D.S. Meg's book is super easy to read and understand. I love the illustrations throughout! I personally found it very informative, allowing me to make an educated decision about having my daughters ties revised. I would definitely recommend this book to parents, care givers and friends! Lisa, breastfeeding mother Thank you Meg, I feel as though this was written specifically for me. Everything you have described in this book is exactly my experience. My favourite thing about this book is the importance of health care providers listening to breastfeeding mothers, I feel like many more women would have a successful journey if that happened. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Hayley, breastfeeding mother Author InformationMeg Nagle is the mother of three breastfed boys and lives with her husband and children in QLD, Australia.
