Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationBrendan Mulcahy was born in Cork city. He lives in Wimbledon with his French wife, Catherine. A life-long English teacher, in retirement he continues to play competitive tennis and has a new-found love for German language and literature, Kraftwerk’s irresistible riff forever in his head – Wir fahr’n, fahr’n, fahr’n auf der autobahn. When the family moved to London in the late 1950s, Brendan attended the local Catholic grammar school before reading English and American Literature for his BA degree at Manchester University. He trained as a teacher and taught English for forty years, alongside senior management positions in four schools. In later life, Brendan’s love of poetry – Shakespeare, Eliot and Frost his holy trinity – has led him to publish his first collection, Here and There, in 2021; the pamphlet of family poems, Maura, in 2024; and now, in 2025, his new collection, All Things Depending.
