All the Untils: Poems for Then and Now

Overview

All the Untils is a small offering of verse to the unbound God of time. These reflections speak to the beauty of our providential stories: the seeing, the following, and the rising. They ponder the mysteries of a Monday, midmorning melting, new thresholds, unexpected hindsight, perennial forgiveness, empty nests, and faint dawnsong. What happens to prayers before faith? What is left after the postlude? Or a summer windthrow? With each turn of a page, these meditations wrestle and wonder, inviting another until to change everything.

Reviews

""In this first collection, Lee Kiblinger vividly paints everyday scenes--gardening, driving, dishes, laundry--but draws us deeper to the mystery and glory in the commonplace through striking metaphors and sonically rich language. Each word is carefully chosen in lines full of clever wordplay and subtle internal rhymes that reward slow reading and re-reading. These poems carry the tension of already and not yet--looking back to contemplate change, aging, memory, and regret, while looking forward with eager longing for the fullness of redemption, when there will be no more 'untils.'"" --Steven Searcy, author of Below the Brightness
