Her research focuses on gender and ethnicity in twentieth and twenty-first century German-speaking literature, film and visual culture with publications on autobiographical writing, the 1920s modern woman, and women writers. Kosta is the recipient of Fulbright and DAAD awards. Margarete Lamb-Faffelberger is Professor emerita of German, founder of the Max-Kade-Center at Lafayette College and member of the Jelinek-Forschungszentrum.
