Shane Frederick has been writing about sports teams and athletes ever since he worked for his high school newspaper in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, in the late 1980s. He currently covers college hockey and other sports for ""The Free Press"" newspaper in Mankato, Minnesota, and his stories have captured awards from the Associated Press, the Minnesota Newspaper Association, and the Society of Professional Journalists. He is also the author of several books about hockey and football. Megan Cooley Peterson has been an avid reader and writer since she was a little girl. She has written nonfiction children's books about topics ranging from urban legends to gross animal facts.

Matt Chandler is the author of more than 90 books for children and thousands of articles published in newspapers and magazines. He writes mostly nonfiction books with a focus on sports, ghosts and haunted places, and graphic novels. Matt lives in New York. Shane Frederick has been writing about sports since he worked for his high school newspaper in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. While covering college hockey and other sports for The Free Press newspaper in Mankato, Minnesota, he has won awards for his stories from the Associated Press, the Society of Professional Journalists and the Minnesota Newspaper Association. He is also the author of several sports books, including ""The Best of Everything Hockey Book"" and ""The Ultimate Guide to Pro Hockey Teams."" Shane is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas He and his wife, Sara, have three children and live in Mankato. Megan Cooley Peterson is a children's book author and editor. Her book How To Build Hair-Raising Haunted Houses (Capstone Press, 2011) was selected as a Book of Note by the TriState Young Adult Review Committee. When not writing, Megan enjoys movies, books, and all things Halloween. She lives in Minnesota with her husband and daughter.
