Overview

This book is a gentle and neuroaffirming rhyming story, following the daily journeys of neurodiverse and neurotypical siblings. It was inspired by my own children, spicy and not-so-spicy, but equally as wonderful. From using social stories and learning how to adapt family life was the starting point for this special book. It acknowledges and holds space for both needs, recognising sometimes that our neurotypical children's needs can't always be met or too quiet to recognise. This book will hopefully help all us spicy families to feel validated and give us all a little bit of grace when things feel hard. Because they are. We matter. You matter. I matter. They matter. Everyone matters. Thank you for reading and hopefully this glimpse into our world with our magical boys resonates with some of you valued readers. This is very much a passion project and so the writing, illustrations and editing is done by me! I am far from professional, the images have been created with my ideas using various AI tools and so it is certainly an imperfect finish. The message to me is the most important, and I hope so for you lovely readers out there. The imperfection presents the reality of our messy, spicy, chaotic lives - and I wouldn't change it.
