OverviewWanting to win and striving to achieve your personal best with the hope of winning are two completely different desires. This guide for advance study of comprehensive mastery helps the reader by positioning out a step-by-step process for doing the latter. The approach can be used effectively in sports, relationships, hobbies, career, or however you want to creatively apply it. Excellence and character are goals worth pursuing. You can change your behavior to make your improvement desires become reality. Rick Redd, MD uses COL John Boyd's OODA loop design for his basic decision-making structure. He then compartmentalizes each of us into four realms: Physical, Emotional, Intellectual, and Spiritual, and describes twenty-one specially-selected habits which fit into these realms. He describes 27 different ways to implement these habits, some of which are quite novel and innovative, including eating right, exercising, getting enough sleep, and the essential need to use approved and quality supplements to bolster the nutritional content of the foods we eat. With these habits in play, measure your progress and generate differential advantages in sport and business. This macro-process applies to everyone in the same way running or walking enhances aerobic fitness. Rick outlines the architecture for a micro-process, specific to each position, sport, event, or job. This personalizes the system for the reader. The author strongly accentuates our Spiritual realm and shows why it is so important to our growth and development as athletes, students, and human beings. He explains how we often short-circuit our ability to achieve duty, honor, discovery, character, maturity and, ultimately, our potential, when we fail to develop our Spiritual side. This system is well organized, practical, and a tremendous aid to athletes, students, musicians, artists, engineers, plumbers, housewives, grandparents, or anyone who honestly desires to manifest their God-given destiny. This guide for advance study will help the reader grow deeper and assist the reader to achieve excellence in sport and life. Dees, Major General, U.S. Army, Retired, Author of The Resilience Trilogy and Resilience God-Style President, Resilience Consulting LLC, www.resilienceGodstyle.com All-In or Nothing Rick outlines a nine-step process to achieve excellence in one's chosen field, starting with determining God's purpose for your life. I encourage you to dive into each of these steps as you glean wisdom from each page of this book. Significant to me as the author of Resilience God Style, Rick asserts that excellence in any endeavor can be achieved from growth and balance in the Physical, Emotional, Intellectual, and Spiritual realms within each person. He further states, ""The most critical and indispensable component of mastering one's destiny is the Spiritual realm, which so few people understand or effectively apply. Without it, duty, honor, and discovery are a myth; getting into 'the zone' is vanishingly rare. When God directs the activity, all is possible and being 'in the zone' in any arena is commonplace."" While each realm is important, the areas of overlap produce compound effects. Where the Physical, Intellectual, and Spiritual realms do overlap, for example, one finds discovery. Discovery is where new ideas, synergy, and creativity are hatched and nurtured. Highlighting the real ""sweet spot"" of performance, Rick concludes: ""Where all four realms overlap, one finds character (the person God intended you to be), toughness, resiliency, and results."" A very practical and useful aspect of All-In or Nothing is discussion surrounding beliefs and habits which add to and detract from one's abilities to achieve success in all four areas. These concepts go beyond theory--Rick has personally applied and demonstrated the perspectives and techniques in his own life. He has honed this process at both the macro and micro levels and applied it directly to silhouette shooting. In 2019 he won the practical hunter aggregate (3 guns) category at the International Silhouette Championships, setting a record of 240/240. All-In or Nothing represents a major contribution to the field of performance coaching. Notably and somewhat uniquely it puts valuable tools into a holistic package including the Physical, Emotional, Intellectual, and Spiritual dimensions which comprise each of us. I know I will benefit from the many valuable techniques in this book--and I am sure you will, too. Dr. William S. Spears, CEO - Founder, Cenergistic I'm proud to recommend his book as a best practice for success -- I've witnessed the results myself, and have been blessed to learn and grow from our association. William F. Galli, P.E., G.E., CEO, The Galli Group This book will provide understanding and direction on how to go to the next level and be the best you possible. Hal Porter, MBA, Partner, Summit Wealth & Retirement Partners Rick has a heart for others, a servant's mentality, and a commitment to personal excellence.
