Many caregivers are also interested in introducing new sounds to their little readers. This book introduces simple Polish words through a diverse cast of gnomes. The book includes original charcoal drawings with colored pencil accents and a shout out to the Polish folk art called wycinanki. About the Author Matilda Szydagis was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago to Polish immigrant parents.
