A family of four are introduced to London landmarks via Usher's scenic landscapes and Toht's gentle poems. Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and the London Eye make the cut, as do cups of tea and lashing rain. * The Bookseller *

Author Information

Patricia Toht once owned a childrens bookstore, Never Never Land. Her favourite moments were connecting readers with the perfect book. After seven wonderful years (and stiff mega-bookstore competition), she shuttered the doors and turned her interest to writing. She has authored Daily Life In Ancient And Modern Moscow (Runestone Press) and has contributed fiction, nonfiction and poetry to numerous childrens magazines. Her poetry also appears in the sports anthology, AndThe Crowd Goes Wild!: A Global Gathering Of Sports Poems (Friesen Press). She currently lives in the Chicago area.Sam Usher spent most of his childhood reading, drawing and forgetting to do his schoolwork. His debut picture book, Can You See Sassoon?, was shortlisted for the Waterstones Childrens Book Prize and the Red House Award. He has since written and illustrated We are Not Frogs by Michael Morpurgo (Barrington Stoke), Refuge by Anne Booth (Nosy Crow) and two of his own stories: Snow and Rain (Templar Publishing). He lives in London, where he enjoys trespassing and playing the piano.
