A talking, golden pony named Scout, offers to carry them back to Ali's home. Ali tries new things and gains new friendships while being lost. He is still afraid. His new friends persevere and give him courage because now he is not alone. Finally, after mishaps, they find Ali's puffball family. Ali plans to see his friends Mika and Scout again. Warm and encouraging to children! Carla Chapin The author has captured the essence of what can happen when children fail to remember safety rules. The adventure could have ended badly had it not been for a stranger reaching out to help. Ali learns that sometimes we make mistakes but that friends are there to help you out.
